St Catherine’s Ministry Centre

43 Macfarlane Street
Middle Park

Worship times:

Sundays, 7am and 9am - Holy Eucharist
Wednesdays, 10am - Holy Eucharist in a contemplative style (quiet and reflective).

We gather for Eucharist every Sunday and Wednesday. You are welcome to join us for a time of worship followed by tea/coffee and excellent conversation.

Holy Eucharist is a service of thanksgiving and includes the offering of bread and wine from the congregation to God, and once blessed by God offered back to the congregation (Holy Communion). All who seek God’s loving kindness are welcome to participate – you may receive the bread and wine (or receive in one kind only), you may come to the altar for a blessing only, or you may prefer to remain seated during this part of the service.
Gluten free bread is available.

Liturgy means “the work of the people.” This is what we do when we gather: we all work together to create our worship.

  • Our liturgies are traditionally Anglican.

  • We sing well-known and loved hymns, and follow the scripture readings of the Revised Common Lectionary. You can follow along here.

  • Our homilies (sermons) are usually based around the gospel of the day and are usually structured in such a way as to help unpack the relationship of Jesus’ ministry to the socio-political context of 21st century Australia.

  • We believe the gospel is the “Living Word” and this belief shapes our preaching.

You can find a copy of the sermons under the Sermons tab.
